Many of you may have heard that we now have a long term planning committee made up of all board members.  We welcome your input and we received several suggestions on the renewal forms.  We will be answering suggestions soon, but we do want all members to know that the top priority for the club is to try to acquire land that surrounds our property.  We want this for a couple of reasons.  First, there is not enough room to expand the skeet fields.  The NRA suggests 300 yards from a shooting point to a boundary, and we literally do not have that amount of shotfall area, so we can not add on more skeet fields to the West.  We have attempted to contact owners and negotiate with them, but so far we have not been able to do so.  Nevertheless, we will keep trying.  We have money in the bank that would enable us to buy land if and when it is available.

We are also looking into improvements on the building at the shotgun fields, which is sagging pretty badly.  We will be getting estimates on refurbishing the existing building and also for building a new building.  If you want more details, email Davebbell@yahoo.com
