Dear fellow member, As most of you are aware we held a “work day” at the club on Saturday, October 19. A group of 15 – 20 members showed up, ready for work. They painted the three skeet houses, the two trap houses, repaired and painted the fence between the skeet fields, and trimmed the trees. Everyone pitched in and helped to the best of their ability and we owe all who attended a big thanks. However there were a few individuals that I would like to name and express our heartfelt appreciation for their efforts. They are: David Blakemore. David accepted the job of coordinating the event. He spent hours of preparation before Saturday and worked all day Saturday doing hard labor. Rusty Ogletree. Rusty is not a club member but is shooting as a guest in the current skeet league. Rusty power washed the buildings on Thursday so they could dry in time for the painting. He donated his time and effort. Jim DeMasters. Jim brought his paint sprayer out and saved the day. It is unlikely that the job could have been done in one day without Jim’s participation. Geoffrey Telcamp. Geoff contacted Valspar Paint Company and questioned why the paint faded. Although there was no warranty he convinced them to donate the paint for the job – about $500.00 worth. And last but not least thanks to John Delaloye for preparing a great lunch in addition to his other efforts. This entire job was done for less than $400.00 expense to the Club due to the efforts of our members. What a great group you are! Thanks again guys, Ed Waynick President Terrell Rifle & Pistol Club |
