April 1, 2012, will be the date for a 7-10 event challenge involving shooting skills in Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun, as well as archery.  One champion will emerge and will be Club Champ for a year.  It is a serious competition, not just a fun day.  Precision, speed, and skill will win.  Use your own rifle, pistol, shotgun, and bow or borrow, steal, or buy one.  To sign up, visit the facebook page or text David Bell at (903) 450-5679.  If you don't know how to text or don't visit facebook, get one of your grandkids to do it or bite the bullet and join us in the 21st century.  Even Preston Mott has email now.  There will be no excuses for weather, hurt toes, or any other. 

I started a facebook page for the club.  To join, you must be a club member and you must have a facebook account.  To start a facebook account, you need an email address which need not be your main email address.  You do not have to use your real name and no personal information is needed.  For example, you could open a new yahoo.com email address under "John&JaneDoe@yahoo.com" and open a facebook page with "JohnDoe#1776" as your user name.  After you have opened a facebook page for yourself, you may search for "Terrell Rifle and Pistol Club" and click request to join.

The facebook page already has about 60 members.  The purpose of the page is to share information, announce things, or ask questions.  Pictures of matches and club activities can be posted, along with inspirational or comical posts.

I think that this can be an asset to the club.
